They needed something more immersive to showcase their 120,000 sq/ft Broadstairs facility. Something that could capture the true scale, energy, and complexity of their operations in a single, seamless experience.

This became the driving force behind the #PowerOfScale campaign… A bold, first-of-its-kind factory fly-through in the UK signage sector. I led this campaign during my time as Brand & Marketing Manager at Blaze Signs, and now, through BrandWorx, this level of creativity, drone execution, and content marketing is available to businesses looking to make the same kind of impact.

The Challenge: Showing What Words Can’t

Blaze Signs has always been capable of delivering signage at serious scale, but demonstrating that scale to potential clients was a constant challenge. Photos and ground-level videos lacked emotion, perspective, and the visual impact needed to match the brand’s promise.

“We always heard the same thing from visitors: ‘We didn’t realise how big it actually was.’ That was the insight that sparked this project.”

To truly show Blaze’s capability, we needed a way to capture the flow of operations, the breadth of departments, and the people behind the process, all in one authentic, engaging journey.


The Creative Solution: A Real Journey in One Take

To bring the concept to life, we partnered with Droneologist, a team of experienced FPV drone pilots based in West Sussex, specialising in high-end aerial videography. Established in 2021, Droneologist combines cinematic creativity with CAA-certified safety and precision flying.

Their FPV expertise allowed us to design a seamless, one-shot fly-through of the Broadstairs facility, guiding viewers on a route that mirrored a customer’s real journey through the site.

“It had to feel honest and grounded, not just cinematic for the sake of it. That’s why we started at the reception: because that’s where every client’s experience begins.”

From the design studio to production zones and finishing areas, the flight path included every key part of the site, reinforcing Blaze’s end-to-end manufacturing power.

Planning and Production

In the weeks before filming, we worked with Droneologist to plan the routes, coordinate with department leads, and ensure a smooth filming process. We handled all pre-filming communications with staff, and consent forms were completed in advance to ensure full transparency.

Filming on the day took around six hours. Each key scene was filmed four or five times to ensure we captured the right flow, pacing, and perspective. Once the footage was delivered, we edited it into a seamless fly-through, syncing the motion to ODESZA – Light of Day for maximum visual and emotional effect.

“There’s a rhythm to how the drone moves — syncing it with the music brought the space to life. It felt like you were being pulled through the story, not just watching it.”

The Launch: #PowerOfScale Campaign

The video became the centrepiece of the #PowerOfScale campaign. We launched it across Blaze Signs’ social media, featured it on their homepage, and supported it with email marketing to clients and key decision-makers.

Instead of hiding behind selective edits or gimmicks, the FPV video gave a fully transparent view of the factory. The wide-angle lens revealed the full scale of the space, the people, the processes, the genuine working environment, without cuts or illusions.

We positioned the video as a first-of-its-kind factory tour in the UK signage industry. Consquently, a move that not only helped Blaze stand out, but also built credibility and trust with its audience. This all culminated in a live premiere of the video on YouTube, a feature where a video goes live for everyone simultaneously after a countdown. The short premiere resulted in over 100 people watching the launch at the same time!

Why It Mattered

This wasn’t just a cool video. It was a shift in how Blaze was perceived. Explicitly bringing scale to life, communicated competence, and told a story that static content simply couldn’t.

“People don’t connect with bullet points and floorplans, they connect with experiences. This video gave them one.”

It helped stakeholders feel something about the business, not just know something about it.
